Job summary

SR Plumbing is recruiting a Boiler Breakdown Engineer to handle domestic heating work across Liverpool, Merseyside. This field role involves fault-finding on boiler breakdowns, heating repairs, servicing support and related plumbing tasks, with an emphasis on arriving prepared and delivering clear explanations to customers.

You will diagnose issues across a range of boiler brands, implement safe repairs, manage appointments and keep the office updated with notes.

Qualifications

• Gas Safe registration for domestic work is required.
• At least 3 years working on domestic boiler breakdown and repair jobs.
• Understanding of heating controls, radiators, pipework and common faults.
• Ability to diagnose issues across multiple boiler brands.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Tidy, reliable and customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Visit domestic customers for boiler breakdown, heating and hot water issues.
• Trace faults across boilers, controls, radiators and wider heating systems.
• Complete repairs safely, including related heating and plumbing tasks.
• Support servicing and landlord gas safety appointments when scheduled.
• Explain faults and recommended repairs clearly to customers.
• Record job notes for the office to maintain a clear visit history.
• Plan daily schedule across the service area.
