Mobile Bodyshop Manager

Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 (depending on experience)

Hours: 50 hours per week (including paid breaks) | Monday to Friday | 7am - 5pm

Location: Mobile / National - this role can be based anywhere in the UK

Our client is the industry‑leading UK‑based accident repair group, with over 30 established accident repair centres nationwide and an ongoing growth strategy. They are shaping the next generation of repair centres, built on service, quality, and customer focus, and are now seeking a Mobile Bodyshop Manager to join their expanding team.

About the Role

This is an exciting new position designed for a proactive leader who thrives on variety and enjoys taking ownership. You will step into different sites across the UK to cover for management absences, ensuring each location continues to operate smoothly and upholds the company's high standards of quality, efficiency, and customer service. Working in a fast‑paced, modern, and clean environment, you will provide structure, motivation, and leadership, ensuring each hub meets daily targets and delivers exceptional results.

As this is a mobile national role, frequent travel to sites across the UK is required, typically spending a week at a time on site. All travel, accommodation, and vehicle expenses are covered, and a company car is provided.

Key Responsibilities for Mobile Bodyshop Manager
  • Travel to various locations across the UK, ranging from the South Coast to Scotland, stepping in to manage operations as needed.
  • Prepare the workshop each morning, ensuring all equipment is operational and the team is ready to start promptly at 7am.
  • Lead daily team briefings to allocate tasks, communicate targets, and resolve any immediate issues.
  • Promote a safe and efficient working environment by ensuring correct use of tools, equipment, and uniforms.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Manager to review site performance, discuss current and incoming vehicle workloads, and identify any potential challenges.
  • Keep the CJS system updated with accurate repair progress to provide transparent customer communication.
  • Oversee parts ordering, ensuring all components required for upcoming jobs are arranged at least three business days in advance.
  • Manage the flow of work for vehicles both on‑site and scheduled to arrive, maintaining a balanced and efficient workload.
  • Ensure every vehicle has a complete 10‑stage photographic record to accompany the repair pack.
  • Monitor stock levels for both wet and dry materials, ordering as required to prevent shortages.
  • Maintain strict quality control throughout all stages of the repair process to guarantee industry‑leading results.
Experience and Skills
  • Previous experience as a Bodyshop Manager or Regional Manager in Accident Repair
  • Adaptable and flexible with travel and being away from home
  • Self‑motivated, enthusiastic, and highly organised individual
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Confident communicator and strong team leader
