Job summary

Voop is building the world’s first safe mobile platform and a global child-safe phone network. As a Mobile App Engineer, you’ll develop and scale our platform across web and mobile, working closely with Nick Pasha-Gubbins (Co-Founder & CTO) on features for Voop for Care, Voop for Schools, and Voop for Parents.

You’ll own frontend and mobile app development, primarily Android, with Kotlin, contribute to backend services, and help ship early-stage product with measurable impact.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience as a senior engineer or technical lead building quality products in lean teams.
• Experience designing and delivering mobile apps for Android using Kotlin.
• Ability to own features end-to-end from idea to delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Voop’s mobile apps, with a focus on Android.

• Contribute to backend services powering the Voop network (MDM, Hono, Postgres, AWS, Kamailio).

The Opportunity

As a Mobile App Engineer at Voop, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing and scaling our platform across web and mobile. You’ll work closely with Nick Pasha-Gubbins (Co-Founder & CTO) on:

• Build-out of modern web applications and mobile apps for Android using Kotlin.
• Product development across Voop for Care, Voop for Schools, and Voop for Parents
• Deployment, optimisation, and real-world testing during pilots and large-scale rollouts.
