A leading facilities management company is seeking a skilled Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team in Leeds. The role involves the maintenance and repair of various air conditioning systems and requires relevant qualifications in HVAC. Candidates should have good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The position offers training and progression opportunities, enabling engineers to enhance their skills in a dynamic environment.
We are looking for an experienced Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer to be part of our engineering team in Leeds, Manchester Sheffield and Chesterfield to undertake the maintenance and repair of air conditioning equipment. This includes service, maintenance, and repair of split AC systems and VRV/VRF systems. You may also be required to work on specific refrigeration equipment. (refrigeration desired but can be upskilled if successful).
You will have the opportunity to work across a variety of manufacturer plants, for example, Daikin, Mitsubishi, Media, Toshiba, and LG. Understanding installation designs and bespoke manufacturer trouble shooting procedures, whilst also being comfortable with seeking manufacturer technical support autonomously is desirable. You will be expected to complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time, keeping logs of inspections reports and remedial work.
Candidates will desirably have a clean full current driving licence. You'll will be expected to be capable of performing manual tasks, including manual handling, working at heights and in confined spaces. Good verbal and written communication are important, including the ability to use a handheld computer device (PDA). You'll need to be highly self-motivated, and solutions focussed with the ability to work without supervision but also enjoy working as part of a team.
The ideal candidate will have experience within a commercial Maintenance / Facilities Management environment. You must have relevant qualifications e.g., FGAS & ODS regs, time served apprenticeship, C&G Level 3 / NVQ or equivalent. Also, knowledge of Health & Safety, Permit to Work procedures and safe systems of working. You will be provided opportunities for training, development, progression, and internal promotions.
Experience of maintenance, testing and fault-finding on a variety of equipment, including HVAC systems and lighting is desirable. (desired but can be upskilled).
