Job summary

A specialized engineering staffing firm is seeking an experienced MMA Welder for a shutdown project at an EFW power station near Middlesbrough. The role involves performing MMA welding on mild steel plate, channels, and brackets, along with assisting mechanical trades with maintenance. Candidates must possess a CCNSG card and a Confined Space Entry certificate, with experience on large industrial sites as an advantage. Competitive pay rates include £24/hr for day shifts and £26/hr for night shifts.

Qualifications

• CCNSG card is mandatory.
• Confined Space Entry certificate is required.
• Experience with plating and MMA welding on large industrial sites is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform MMA welding on mild steel plate, channels, and brackets.
• Assist mechanical trades with general maintenance.

Job description

The Role:

Our client has a requirement for Plater / Welders for an EFW power station shutdown near Middlesbrough. Duties will include MMA and MIG welding on mild steel plate, channels, and brackets as well as plating, burning and fabrication and assisting mechanical trades with general maintenance. The work will be until approx 23rd May, with a further shutdown to follow in Deeside from 9th June with same company for 1 week.

- City & Guilds Confined Space Entry certificate

- Manual Handling, Working at Height, Abrasive Wheels, Slinging certificates an advantage

- Experience of plating and MMA welding on large industrial sites (cement, power, refinery, steel)
