Job summary

Bluetown in London is seeking an MLOps Platform Developer to own a production system end-to-end: the web app, the data pipelines, the deployments and the LLM serving stack.

You will work on a full-stack codebase (React/TypeScript) with a Postgres telemetry estate, serverless functions, MQTT ingestion, and advanced ML operations. The role offers direct access to clients and a founder-led environment with a clear delivery focus.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent.
• ML operations capability: operate model-serving infra and training/evaluation pipelines on Linux/GPU hardware.
• Five or more years building and running production web applications full-stack, with ownership of at least one live system.
• Strong TypeScript and React; strong SQL and relational schema design on PostgreSQL, incl. large tables performance.
• Serverless or cloud deployment experience (Vercel, AWS Lambda, Cloudflare Workers) and monitoring/incident response.
• API integration experience (REST, OAuth2/JWT, webhooks) including real-world systems of record.
• Python for scripting, data processing or pipeline work.

Responsibilities

• Operate the LLM estate: manage LoRA tuning cycles and vLLM serving alongside production, version control, and gate results.
• Develop, deploy and maintain the web application (React/TypeScript, Vite) with serverless pipelines and messaging routes.
• Own the data layer: Postgres schema design, row-level security, SQL functions, materialized views and performance tuning.
• Run the telemetry pipeline: MQTT ingestion from site equipment, data-quality rollups and monitoring.
• Test and verify end-to-end changes against production, maintaining automated invariants and green status.
