Job summary

NATS is seeking a Systems Engineer with expertise in MLAT and ADS-B surveillance systems used in Wide Area Multilateration and airport surface surveillance. You will support engineering projects from specification through deployment to operational support within a safety-critical environment.

Qualifications

Engineering qualification at least HNC (Level 4 or equivalent).
Alternative criteria include an apprenticeship with demonstrable engineering experience.
Experience in safety-critical environments is desirable.
Understanding of safety-critical systems and their operational impact.

Responsibilities

Negotiate and coordinate project requirements and timelines with stakeholders.
Produce technical specifications for minor systems and support major system specifications.
Support engineering estimates for project bids and tender evaluations.
Act as Change Lead for minor projects and manage day-to-day activities including installation and commissioning.
Produce and review maintenance and operating procedures and ensure deliverables meet the project plan.
Provide EA role support for designated systems and respond to technical inquiries.
