Job summary

Oliver Bernard in London is seeking a talented Machine Learning Engineer to help build the core product at a fast-growing AI start-up. The role focuses on turning research into production-ready solutions, refining pipelines for accurate simulations, and building data pipelines to convert unstructured data into actionable population simulations.

You will work with human data, apply deep learning, and contribute to a high-autonomy, fast-moving team.

Qualifications

• Experience in Machine Learning in a commercial environment (startup preferred).
• Proficient in writing high-grade Python code.
• Deep Learning experience.
• Experience working with Human Data is essential.
• Bonus: background in computational social science / applied social science.
• Bonus: experience with simulations.

Responsibilities

• Turn research into production-ready solutions to tackle this complex issue.
• Fine-tune the pipelines to create the most accurate simulations / solutions possible.
• Building Data pipelines - Turn unstructured data into actionable simulations of the population sets.
• Recognise the trade-offs and make decisions to maximise performance.
