Job summary

voco Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow is seeking experienced Mixologists for the festive season to join Champagne Central. You will craft classic and contemporary cocktails, engage guests, and deliver exceptional drinks at pace in a busy, high‑volume bar.

Candidates should have proven mixology and cocktail knowledge, enjoy creative presentation, and thrive in a fast environment while maintaining top standards and teamwork on the floor.

Qualifications

• Previous mixology/cocktail bar experience is essential.
• Ability to deliver quality cocktails quickly in a busy bar.
• Knowledge of cocktails, spirits and bar techniques.

Join the Festive Team at voco Grand Central Hotel

This festive season, we’re looking for experienced Mixologists to join the team behind the bar at our iconic Champagne Central at voco Grand Central Hotel, Glasgow.

This isn’t just a bartending role. We’re looking for people who know their craft, who are confident behind the bar, passionate about cocktails and spirits, and capable of delivering exceptional drinks at pace while creating a brilliant guest experience.

Seasonal Champagne Central Mixologists will bring skill, knowledge and personality to every shift, including:

• Expert cocktail making, confidently shake, stir, build and serve classic and contemporary cocktails to a consistently high standard.
• Strong spirits and cocktail knowledge to understand what goes into a great drink and be comfortable talking guests through flavours, ingredients and recommendations.
• Creativity, bring ideas, flair and attention to detail to seasonal serves and beautifully presented cocktails.
• Confident guest interaction, ability to read the guest, make recommendations and turn a drink at the bar into part of their experience.
• Speed without compromising quality, Champagne Central gets busy, particularly over the festive period, so you’ll need to be comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high-volume bar.
• High standards by taking pride in your station, preparation, presentation, cleanliness and organisation.
• Teamwork, someone who works brilliantly alongside the wider bar and service team to keep the operation flowing.

What We’re Looking For

Previous mixology/cocktail bar experience is essential. We need people who can come into the role with the practical capability and confidence to deliver from day one.

You’ll need:

• Previous experience working as a Mixologist or experienced Cocktail Bartender
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, ingredients and bar techniques
• Proven ability to produce quality cocktails consistently and at pace
• Confidence engaging with guests and making knowledgeable recommendations
• Experience working in a busy, high-volume bar environment
• Great attention to detail and presentation
• Full right to work in the UK

What’s On Offer

• Pay: From £14.13 per hour + service charge
• Contract: Seasonal festive contract immediate start until 2nd January 2027

You will be joining a passionate and supportive team in one of Glasgow’s most iconic hotels, working in a bar where quality, personality and genuine cocktail knowledge matter.
