Qualifications

• Experience as Mixing Operative or Production Operative in manufacturing environments.
• Experience with mixing/blending equipment or processes.
• Ability to follow detailed production formulations and instructions.
• Manual handling duties, including lifting up to 20kg.
• Forklift licence preferred (Counterbalance).

Responsibilities

• Operate blending, mixing, and other production machinery.
• Prepare ingredients per formulations for mixing processes.
• Pick and prepare raw materials from production instructions.
• Manually load raw material bags (up to 20kg) into mixing equipment.
• Monitor mixing processes to ensure product quality and consistency.
• Palettise finished products and wrap pallets for dispatch.
• Use a Counterbalance Forklift to move pallets to warehouse locations.
• Complete production documentation and traceability records.
• Adhere to food hygiene, safety and health procedures.

Mixing Operative

Corby, NN17 | £13.42 per hour | Immediate Start Available

Monday to Thursday: 10:00am - 6:00pm | Friday: 7:00am - 3:00pm

Are you an experienced Mixing Operative looking for a hands‑on role within a successful and growing manufacturing business? We are recruiting for a Mixing Operative to join a well‑established company in Corby that has been delivering high‑quality products for over 30 years. The Role

Working closely with the Production Supervisor, the Mixing Operative will play a key role in ensuring production runs efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and safety. Previous mixing experience will be highly beneficial, and candidates with a background in food manufacturing or process operations are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating blending, mixing, and other production machinery
• Following production formulations and accurately preparing ingredients for mixing processes
• Picking and preparing raw materials from production instructions
• Manually loading raw material bags (up to 20kg) into mixing equipment
• Monitoring mixing processes to ensure product consistency and quality standards are met
• Palletising finished products and wrapping pallets ready for dispatch
• Using a Counterbalance FLT to move completed pallets into warehouse locations
• Completing production documentation and traceability records accurately
• Adhering to food manufacturing, hygiene, and health & safety procedures at all times

What We're Looking For

• Have previous experience as a Mixing Operative, Production Operative, Process Operator, or within a manufacturing environment
• Have proven mixing experience within food production, chemical, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing settings
• Are confident operating mixing, blending, or processing equipment
• Hold a valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence (preferred)
• Are comfortable with manual handling duties
• Can work to production targets and follow detailed instructions
• Possess strong attention to detail and understand the importance of accurate mixing procedures
• Enjoy working as part of a small, supportive team
