Job summary

Robson & Prescott Veterinary Surgeons, Morpeth Whorral Bank Hospital is seeking an experienced Mixed Veterinary Surgeon to join our well-established Northumberland team. The role offers a diverse mix of small animal, farm, equine and export work with a 40-hour week over four days and an in-house out-of-hours rota to maintain continuity of patient care.

An OV qualification would be welcomed but isn’t essential, as we provide training and support.

Qualifications

• Mixed Veterinary Surgeon with experience across small animal, farm, and equine work.
• Willingness to participate in export certification work where appropriate.
• Good collaboration and ability to mentor/learn within a large team.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality veterinary care across small animal, farm and equine patients.
• Contribute to export certification work where appropriate.
• Build trusted relationships with clients across local communities; work with colleagues from multiple disciplines.
• Manage a varied mix of medical and surgical cases.
• Participate in the in-house out-of-hours rota for continuity of care.
• Develop clinical skills through supported CPD and collaboration.
