Job summary

ACCA Careers represents a well-established chartered accountancy firm seeking a Mixed Tax Manager to lead a diverse portfolio of clients across the UK.

You will prepare and review tax returns and computations, provide planning advice, and liaise with HMRC. Mentoring juniors and ensuring compliant tax work are key duties, with a flexible working arrangement available.

Qualifications

• Must hold a professional tax/accountancy qualification (CTA/ACCA/ACA).
• Experience managing a portfolio of tax clients.
• Strong technical knowledge of corporate and personal tax.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
• Proactive, able to work independently and in a team.

Client Details

The company is a well-established firm of chartered accountants, servicing a diverse range of businesses across the UK. They are a three partner firm and have a headcount of circa 30 staff.

Description

• Manage a varied portfolio of clients across a range of industries.
• Prepare and review tax returns and computations.
• Provide tax planning advice to clients.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
• Manage and mentor junior members of the team.
• Ensure all tax work is completed efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with company procedures.
• Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients.
• Inheritance tax planning.
• Profit extraction tax calculations.
• Contribute to the development of the company's tax department and services.

Profile

• Professional qualification in tax or accountancy (CTA, ACCA, ACA).
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients in a tax role.
• Strong technical knowledge of both corporate and personal tax.
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
• Ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
• A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Offer

• An estimated salary range of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum.
• Flexible working options (the client is happy to look at candidate seeking part-time and full-time hours).
