Bodmin Minor Injuries Unit has an opportunity to work in a practitioner‑led Minor Injuries Unit (MIU). The MIU operates 8am‑10pm.
This is a Band 6 post and we are interested in interviewing both Practitioners who are able to work in an advanced practice role which includes minor illness and paediatrics at Band 6 level and also Aspiring Practitioners with an urgent care background who would like to develop further and are already undertaking and have almost completed a relevant minor injuries and illness course.
You need to have a passion for minor injury care, good communication skills, and a commitment to providing excellent care as part of the MIU team. You must be responsive to change and flexible in your approach as we are in an exciting period of development for the MIU service. A sound knowledge of professional issues will be required.
It is an expectation of the role that the post is offered on the basis of working 7.5 hour shifts including regular rotation to cover evenings and weekends. We are a small team and flexibility is vital to ensure service provision.
