Job summary

Matchtech is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, manage and support the IT infrastructure underpinning a tactical mission network in an on‑premise environment. You will be part of an IT engineering team supporting a critical communications system used by hundreds of deployed users.

Responsibilities include maintaining secure on‑prem infrastructure, hands‑on troubleshooting, deploying new capabilities, and collaborating with security and project teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as an Infrastructure Engineer and 8+ years in IT in related field.
• Strong knowledge of Linux OS, Windows Server, virtualization and networking (Cisco).
• Strong troubleshooting ability and attention to detail.
• Confident written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support IT infrastructure in a secure, on‑prem environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues (hands‑on problem management).
• Develop and deploy new infrastructure capabilities.
• Monitor performance and improve reliability and user experience.
• Support end‑user device build processes.
• Communicate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders including security and project teams.
