Overview

In this role you will support the day-to-day coordination and supervision of the Missing Investigation Support Team (MIST), ensuring the effective running of team operations. The role supports compliance with policy and procedures, provides direct line supervision, and contributes to team performance through tasking, oversight, and quality assurance. It plays a key role in ensuring missing person investigations are delivered effectively, consistently, and in line with safeguarding responsibilities.

The successful candidate will have completed or be willing to complete safeguarding and case management training and engage in continuous professional development (CPD) through mentorship and practical experience. You will participate in training sessions to stay current with changes in legislation, research, and operational practices. Experience in team supervision and performance management is required, preferably within an investigative or safeguarding environment. You will have the ability to prioritise workloads, manage day-to-day team performance, and provide clear tasking and direction. You will foster collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders, both internal and external, and be proficient in relevant digital systems and tools to support case oversight, auditing, and reporting.
