MBDA is seeking Missile Test Architects to join our Stevenage team. You will be responsible for test and testability aspects of the missile, ensuring design-for-test considerations and coordinating with design and manufacturing teams.

The role offers hybrid working with 2-3 days on-site per week, security clearance requirements, and a company bonus along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in test, electrical or electronic engineering.
• Proficient in digital electronics and microprocessor systems, analogue electronics, electronics testing, or test equipment design.
• Strong ability to gather requirements, oversee projects and manage customer relationships.

Responsabilités

• Take ownership of the test and testability aspects of the missile.
• Generate and manage compliance with lower-level test requirements for design teams, including test access needs and BIT timings.
• Analyse and model the system to determine test coverage and generate diagnostic instructions.
• Collaborate with Chief Design Engineer and Lead Architect on cost vs test coverage trade-offs.

BoltonDue to business growth, we are currently looking for a number of skilled and experienced Missile Test Architects to join our exceptional team in Stevenage! You will be responsible for the test and testability aspects of the missile.Salary: Circa £45,000 to £57,000 depending on experienceDynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classificationSecurity Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:

You will be responsible for ensuring that design-for-test considerations are applied during the project development and specifying all missile level factory, in-service and BIT routines. Whilst working closely with the manufacturing and design teams to ensure the final product is fully testable and to understand/minimise gaps in test coverage.

• Take ownership of the test and testability aspects of the missile.
• Generate and manage compliance with lower-level test requirements for design teams, including test access needs, BIT coverage/timings, and factory test functionality.
• Analyse and model our system to determine test coverage and generate diagnostic instructions.
• Work closely with the Chief Design Engineer and Lead Architect to make cost vs test coverage trade-offs

What we're looking for from you:

• Do you have substantial experience of test, electrical or electronic engineering?
• Are you proficient in at least one of the following areas: digital electronics and microprocessor systems, analogue electronics, electronics testing, or test equipment design?
• The role will require you to have a good understanding of gathering requirements, overseeing projects, creating plans, and managing relationships with key customers.
