Job summary

A Defence and Aerospace supplier is seeking a Missile Mechanical Architect for a 6-month contract in Stevenage. The ideal candidate will have a degree and 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering. Responsibilities include managing missile design specifications and mechanical interfaces, ensuring compliance with design requirements, and controlling budgets. This role offers hybrid working and the candidate must be eligible for SC Clearance.

Qualifications

• 10 years' experience in mechanical engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Experience developing proving logic for compliance evidence.
• Strong leadership skills with a clear engineering vision.

Responsibilities

• Establish Missile Airframe Task Requirements Specification.
• Manage mechanical interface with the launcher.
• Define the optimum mechanical architecture for all missile variants.
• Control budgets and manage personal workload.
• Ensure compliance with Airframe TRS for missile certification.
