Job summary

MBDA UK is offering a 10‑week Summer Placement starting June 2027 in an exciting area of missile aerodynamics. The role provides mentorship from senior aerodynamicists and exposure to design areas from concept to in‑service support.

You will undertake projects applying university knowledge, with potential to secure a graduate role before final year. On‑site work and BPSS checks apply. Salary is £24,460 pro‑rata.

Qualifications

• Currently studying towards a Degree in an Aerospace engineering, Aeronautical engineering, Mechanical engineering, Production/Manufacturing engineering, Mathematics or Physics discipline.
• Aerodynamics and propulsion based modules are most relevant to this role (such as Fluid Dynamics, Thermodynamics, Aircraft Performance, Flight Dynamics & Control etc.), please list any that you have studied on your application.

Responsibilities

• Kick‑start your aerodynamics career by working on missile aerodynamics with a team of experts.
• Apply knowledge from university to real‑world projects across concept to in‑service support.
• Develop and use aero tools alongside software to evaluate airframe performance.
