Job summary

Angus Council invites applications for a driver based at Lilybank Resource Centre, Forfar, to support individuals with a learning disability by transporting them to and from the day centre and assisting with safety of passengers and vehicles.

The role is fixed workstyle with split shifts (morning and afternoon) and occasional extra hours to cover absences. A minibus driving assessment is required and PVG scheme membership is necessary. Interviews on 23 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Eligible to become PVG Scheme member
• Willing to undertake a minibus driving assessment
• Able to communicate with service users and families/carers

Responsibilities

• Safely drive minibuses and accessible vehicles
• Maintain routine weekly/monthly vehicle checks
• Liaise with service users, families, carers and centre staff
• Complete associated paperwork
• Work split shifts (morning and afternoon)
• Occasional extra hours to cover for absences
