Job summary

UKAT is seeking a reliable Minibus Driver to provide safe and welcoming transport for students across sites in Medway, Kent. You will work with the Estates Manager to ensure timely access to learning opportunities and activities, while upholding safeguarding and safety standards.

The role involves transporting students, performing vehicle checks, maintaining records and promoting a positive environment for learners. UKAT offers wellbeing and development opportunities and benefits on site.

Job description

We are seeking a reliable and professional Minibus Driver to provide a safe, efficient and welcoming transport service for students across our Trust. Working closely with the Estates Manager and colleagues across our schools, you will play a key role in ensuring that students can access learning opportunities, educational activities and wider Trust provision safely and on time. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting students between sites, carrying out routine vehicle safety checks, maintaining accurate records and ensuring vehicles remain clean, roadworthy and compliant. They will promote a positive and respectful environment for passengers, demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding and health and safety, and act as a positive representative of the Trust at all times. This role would suit someone who is dependable, safety-conscious and able to work independently, with excellent driving standards and a commitment to supporting the wellbeing and success of young people.
