Responsibilities
  • Carry out proactive and preventative maintenance.
  • Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouse.
  • Use the latest tools to maximise equipment effectiveness.
  • Make modifications and upgrades to existing equipment.
  • Uphold health and safety policies and practices.
  • Work on continuous improvement projects.
Qualifications & Eligibility
  • UK national, or non‑UK national with right to work, or EU national with settled status.
  • Live in the UK or an EEA, British overseas territory, or Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein for 3 years or more prior to commencing the apprenticeship.
  • Be resident in the UK for the entire duration of the programme.
  • Not registered to study on a UK government funded course ending August 2026 or later.
  • Be 18 years old or older before entering an Amazon building.
  • Have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grades 9‑4 / A‑C (or equivalent), including Maths, English and a science/technology subject.
  • Have achieved or are studying towards a T‑Level in an Engineering subject or A Levels with a bias towards science & technology, or another Engineering subject, or studying for A Levels with a bias towards science and technology.
  • Previous qualifications will be reviewed for funding eligibility; those not eligible will have offer withdrawn.
  • Have a Statement of Comparability for qualifications obtained outside the UK; obtained via UK ENIC.
  • Position is a 36‑48 month fixed‑term contract. You must not already have a qualification in a similar subject at the same or higher level than the apprenticeship.
What We Offer

First 12 months of a full‑time residential programme at an external training provider or Amazon training centre. Accommodation provided during term time if outside a commutable distance. Later years combine day or block release study for an HNC in Engineering or Mechatronics with on‑the‑job training at a Fulfilment Centre, Sortation Centre, or Delivery Station.

Shift coverage includes days, nights and weekends in patterns that reflect the real‑world schedules of engineers. You will support our 24/7 operation and work on real engineering projects with experienced technicians and engineers.
