Eligibility

Cpl/LH and below ranks with a gap of service of no more than six years.

  • If you fall slightly outside the above criteria you may still apply; a waiver may be granted subject to approval and interview processes.

Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years UK Military experience (required).
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Background: At least 3 years prior Military Service or currently serving in any arm of the British Military, regular or reserves.
  • Age between 18 and 57 years at re-enlistment.
  • Fit: Medical fit, BMI below 32.
  • Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence with less than 8 penalty points.

Work Schedule
  • Full-time, permanent.
  • 12-hour shifts on a structured system of 4 on / 4 off.
Responsibilities
  • Security incident management – handling suspicious packages, bomb threats, protests, etc.
  • Patrolling site perimeters – taking necessary action to preserve perimeter security.
  • Controlling entry and exit – managing control room and gate operations and ensuring all visitors are dealt with efficiently.
  • Military Working Dog services (at selected sites).
  • Work across the UK mainland – units located at over 120 sites.
Additional Information

Previously served personnel may apply: former substantive Cpl/LH (or equivalent) and above ranks with no more than a 10‑year gap of service, and former non‑substantive.
