Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Critical Facilities Technician to join our Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO) team. In this role you will support the operation, monitoring and maintenance of the electrical and mechanical infrastructure that powers AWS cloud services. AWS data centers operate 24/7 and rely on highly reliable power and cooling systems. As a technician in this environment, you will perform hands‑on maintenance, equipment inspections, and troubleshooting to ensure infrastructure systems operate safely and reliably. You will work as part of a team responsible for maintaining mission‑critical equipment including power distribution systems, generators, UPS systems and cooling infrastructure. This role operates on a shift rotation supporting 24/7 data center operations.
The Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO) team is responsible for maintaining the critical infrastructure that supports AWS data centers. Our technicians operate and maintain complex mechanical and electrical systems that provide reliable power and cooling for AWS cloud services. The team works in a highly operational, safety‑focused environment, where attention to detail and strong technical skills are essential to maintaining service availability.
