Job description

We're looking for a hands‑on, practically minded Workshop Engineer with solid MIG welding ability to join our team manufacturing high‑quality water boosting and pressurisation equipment.

This role suits someone who enjoys varied engineering work—mechanical builds, electrical wiring, and especially welding and fabricating the frames our systems are built on.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Carrying out MIG welding on frames, brackets, and support structures for booster sets and pressurisation units. (You do not need to be a coded welder—competent workshop welding is enough.)
  • Building and testing a wide range of pumping equipment, including cold‑water booster sets and pressurisation units.
  • Mechanical work such as metal cutting, drilling, pipe threading, and general assembly.
  • Electrical tasks: power and control wiring, basic panel builds, and inverter drive setup (not all required from day one).
  • Workshop‑based work with occasional site visits for installs or remedial tasks (CSCS card useful but not essential).
  • Working independently when needed, and supporting the team during larger builds.
What We're Looking For
  • Confident MIG welding skills suitable for producing strong, clean, accurate workshop welds.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using common workshop tools and equipment.
  • Basic electrical knowledge; further training provided if needed.
  • Pump experience or water industry knowledge helpful but not essential.
  • A driving licence would be useful for site work.
  • Someone reliable, tidy, methodical, and able to work safely.
Hours & Benefits
  • Location: Leicester (Workshop‑Based with Occasional Site Work)
  • Monday to Friday - 39‑hour working week
  • Overtime available
  • Stable, long‑term role with opportunities to develop both mechanical and electrical skills
  • Supportive workshop environment and practical, straightforward management
