Midwife Antenatal Clinic, Maternity Day Assessment Unit Helpline

Are you an enthusiastic midwife who enjoys offering a high standard antenatal care to women/pregnant people? If you enjoy risk assessing, public health promotion and a work variety then this might be the role for you! You will have the opportunity to work in partnership with the obstetrician, the pregnant person and other multi-displinary teams. The role is core within the services of the outpatient department, which will include working within the Antenatal Clinic, Maternity Day Assessment Unit and Maternity Helpline. Please note, this is a full-time position we are offering.

You will have the opportunity to collaborate with obstetricians, the pregnant person and other multidisciplinary teams. This multidisciplinary approach ensures comprehensive care, addressing each woman's physical, social, and emotional complexities.

We work with a vast caseload of patients including high-risk and complicated pregnancies, offer rotational positions and have exposure to innovative resources and developments within maternity. So, no matter your interest, there will be something for you!

Main duties of the job
  • Actively promoting and encouraging a healthy lifestyle, advising and arranging support for women as required.
  • Liaising with the multidisciplinary teams to ensure the safe care of women/birthing people and their families.
  • Practice in line with clinical governance and risk assessment.
  • Undertake clinical assessment of maternal and fetal wellbeing over the telephone and in person.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, making clinical decisions.
