Job summary

Sybarite is seeking a creative and ambitious Midweight Designer / Architect to join its London studio, delivering large-scale retail and mixed-use developments across China. You will move from concept through Design Development, blending architectural thinking with retail interior planning and technical delivery.

The role requires strong design delivery, collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, and the ability to balance ambitious ideas with feasibility and commercial needs.

Qualifications

• Four to eight years' professional experience across architecture, interior design or complex mixed-use development.
• Strong experience within large-scale retail, mixed-use, hospitality or commercial projects.
• Understanding of retail interiors, customer experience, circulation, merchandising and front-of-house environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop architectural, interior and spatial concepts for large-scale retail and mixed-use projects.
• Contribute to experience-led design solutions informed by customer journey, circulation and merchandising.
• Take ownership of defined project packages through Concept Design, Schematic Design and Design Development.
• Prepare presentations, reports, design documentation, models and technical drawing packages.
• Work closely with Directors to develop project vision and design intent.
• Balance design ambition with technical feasibility and commercial requirements.
