Job summary

Modus is seeking a Midweight Interior Designer to join our growing design team in the UK. You will shape workplace environments from concept through to completion, collaborating with senior designers and project teams to develop ideas, create space plans and compelling visualisations.

With 3-5 years’ experience in workplace or commercial interiors, you’ll contribute to CAT A/B, refurbishment and fit-out projects while developing your career in a collaborative Design & Build environment that

Qualifications

• Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years' experience within workplace, commercial interiors or Design & Build projects.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating creative thinking and design development skills.
• Excellent space planning and conceptual design capabilities.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage workload effectively across multiple projects.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Experience using Revit and Enscape.
• Previous Design & Build experience.
• Knowledge of workplace strategy and evolving ways of working.
• Understanding of sustainable design principles and WELL-focused workplace environments.
• Experience working on CAT A, CAT B, refurbishment or fit-out projects.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of workplace design concepts from initial brief through to project delivery.
• Produce space plans, mood boards, presentations, material palettes and design documentation.
• Develop creative design solutions that reflect client culture, brand and business needs.
• Assist in preparing client presentations, workshops and design reviews.
• Create high-quality visualisations and presentation materials to communicate design intent.
• Collaborate with Technical Design, Project Management and Delivery teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Conduct site visits and surveys to inform design development and monitor project progress.
• Research workplace trends, materials, finishes and furniture solutions.
• Support pitch and tender submissions with creative design input.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants and suppliers.
