Job description
Midweight Creative Designer

Sixteen by Nine is the UKs first Presentation Design Consultancy, transforming ordinary presentations into extraordinary experiences. We collaborate with international brands to create visual stories that engage and inspire global audiences. We combine traditional design principles with analytical precision, creative strategy and technical innovation to disrupt the industry. Since 2018, our mission has been to help everyone in the world be Proud to Present™.

The Role

As a Middleweight Creative Designer, you won't just be crafting slides; you will be taking ownership of the creative process. You have the fundamental principles of design mastered, and now you’re ready to dive into the nuances of high-stakes storytelling. You’ll work alongside our talented team to lead original presentation solutions, acting as a bridge between strategy and execution. We’re looking for a "culture add"—someone who doesn't just fit in but actively improves it with their unique perspective and ambition.

The Responsibilities
  • Devise inspiring and engaging presentation solutions from concept to completion. Collaborating to craft narrative, visual design, slide development, feedback and timely delivery.
  • Apply advanced typography, layout, and motion principles to create compelling visual stories that resonate for audiences around the world.
  • Produce slides, videos, and animations; both as standalone projects and to supplement presentations.
  • Work alongside and support our team of presentation experts (designers, strategists, copywriters, and account managers) to deliver high level, high quality, high impact creative projects.
  • Work directly with the Head of Design to Support, Aspire and Succeed in the presentation industry.
  • Manage and evolve libraries of assets and imagery, acting as a lead brand guardian for our prestigious global clients.
  • Be part of multiple, varied projects simultaneously, in a fast-paced and creatively rewarding environment.
  • Provide feedback to junior team members and contribute to the evolution of our internal design processes
  • Stay at the forefront of design trends and emerging technologies, sharing knowledge to keep the team ahead of the curve.
The Offer
  • Starting salary between £29,000-32,000, with a support package including health insurance, electric car scheme, income protection and contributory pension scheme.
  • Limitless, profit-sharing bonus scheme.
  • Clear and objective-based career progression. Yearly progression and compensation reviews, with regular catch-up sessions to support your growth.
  • Opportunities to specialise in various areas of presentation design.
  • 25 days of annual leave each year.
  • Your birthday’s on us, an extra day off, on the house.
  • End of year office closure to recharge and relax.
  • Hybrid working model that balances in-office collaboration and remote flexibility.
  • All equipment provided for both office and home setups.
  • Electric car scheme(subject to qualifying period)
  • Private medical insurance (subject to qualifying period)
  • Income protection (subject to qualifying period)
  • Annual training and development budget.
  • Target lunches, social events, Summer and Christmas party, creative huddles, regular coffee runs, and more!
  • Our promise to help you be Proud to Present™
The Candidate
  • Experience – you’ll have between 3-5 of agency experience and be familiar with the design process. A proficient grasp of core design software is critical. You have moved past the "learning the tools" phase and are now focused on "solving the problem”.
  • Education – a degree in a related design field will be advantageous. A strong, visual, and well-reasoned portfolio is a necessity. We want to see how you think, not just how you design.
  • Attitude – You embody our values: Support, Aspire, Succeed. You are an innovative thinker who is determined to achieve excellence and wants to help grow the business, not just occupy a desk.
  • Skills – You have a profound grasp of core design software and a solid foundation in typography and layout.
  • Traits – a solid design foundation, strong typography and layout practice, excellent written and verbal communication. You are confident in sharing and receiving feedback, both internally and with high-level clients
  • Interests – we are proud to have a diverse mix of colleagues, both professionally and personally, so we’d love to know if you’re a secret illustrator, photographer, coder, 3D modeller, rock-climber, guitar-shredder – whether you’re a Traitor or a Faithful*
The tl;dr

We have a truly exciting, creative, opportunity for the right person. A job that provides access to household names, design challenges, and professional growth. So, if you’ve got a portfoli-woah, like blowing people’s socks off, and are ready to start your next chapter – whilst you help others tell their stories through presentation – then there’s no time like the present.
