Job summary

The Professional Footballers’ Association is seeking a regionally based coach developer to join our established team. You will work across clubs, mentoring candidates and delivering coaching awards with a focus on high standards and child protection CPD.

This hybrid role requires travel to clubs across the Midlands, with flexible home office options, and regular office attendance for meetings. A UEFA A Licence is preferred, with Tutor status for UEFA C and B advantageous.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across groups.
• Experience with coach development methods and multi-disciplinary approaches.
• Knowledge of English professional game and EPPP is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the UEFA C award to an allocated group of clubs or progress to licenced tutor status.
• Mentor and support course candidates as required.
• Maintain CPD for coaching awards and licenced tutor status.
• Contribute to internal verification and standard setting.
• Attend staff meetings and support department initiatives.
• Maintain accurate electronic records of course delivery and interactions.
• Stay informed about current issues in professional football and coaching trends.
• Work evenings and weekends as required, including overnight stays.
• Hold UEFA B licence tutor status and deliver UEFA B award regionally.
• Hold UEFA A licence tutor status and deliver national UEFA A award with FA staff.
• Collaborate with other PFA departments for integrated approaches.
