Job summary

Pimperne Primary School in Dorset is seeking a Midday Supervisor Assistant to join the lunchtime team. This role is 7.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term-time with INSET days, and offers a secure permanent contract.

You will prepare the hall, serve hot meals or packed lunches, and supervise children during eating and at play. A positive, caring approach and basic food hygiene awareness are important to support pupils' wellbeing and behaviour.

Qualifications

  • Self-motivated and enjoys working with children.
  • Has good basic knowledge of food hygiene.
  • Able to work as part of a lunchtime team.
  • Committed to safeguarding and wellbeing of pupils.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the dining hall and serve hot meals or packed lunches.
  • Supervise children during eating and recess.
  • Assist during playtime and encourage positive behaviour.

Contract

7.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday – 11.45am – 1.15pm. Term-time only + INSET days (39 weeks per year). Permanent contract.

Actual starting salary – £4,485.76 per annum. Dorset Grade 3 – £25,614 to £26,016 per annum full time equivalent.

Role Summary

Pimperne Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Midday Supervisor Assistant to join the team. You will need to be self-motivated and enjoy working with children, to encourage positive behaviour. The role will include preparation of the hall, serving of hot food and supervision of children whilst they are eating their hot school meals or packed lunch, as well as playtime duties engaging children in play.
