Job summary

Sandgate School in Kendal is seeking a Midday Supervisor for a part-time role, 11:30am–1:15pm, 8 hours 45 minutes per week. The position is term-time only and involves preparing children for lunchtime, assisting during meals, and supervising students both inside and outside the classroom.

Successful applicants will support safeguarding and health and safety procedures, manage behaviour in accordance with school policy, and contribute to a positive lunchtime environment at Sandgate School.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising children during lunchtime or school meals.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and health & safety procedures.
• Ability to work with a team and follow school policies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare children for lunchtime routine.
• Assist during meal times and supervise during lunch.
• Clean tables and clear dining area after meals.
• Supervise and engage with students inside and outside the classroom.
• Deal with behaviour incidents in line with school policy.

Sandgate is a two site special school for children and young people between the ages of 3-19 years. Sandgate takes pride in fostering a positive and dynamic learning environment for students with severe learning difficulties.

PCD3A £25,614 (inclusive of 30 JWC) per annum, pro rata for part -time and term time only working (hourly rate £13.28) Actual annual salary £5,275.48 per annum

We are looking to grow our team and for a new Midday Supervisor to join our vibrant school community. Duties will include preparing children for the lunchtime routine, assisting during meal times, cleaning up tables etc, supervising and playing with students inside and outside the classroom, dealing with behaviour incidents in line with school policy and being aware of safeguarding and other health and safety procedures.

Role start date: As soon as possible.
