The job itself

We are seeking to appoint a cheerful and reliable member of staff who can demonstrate patience and confidentiality to join our friendly and professional lunchtime supervisory team. The working hours will be Monday to Friday 11.30am until 12.45pm as required.

The main purpose of the midday supervisor role:

To be responsible under the direction of the Headteacher and Senior Lunchtime Supervisor as a team member of the safety, welfare and good conduct of the pupils during the midday break.

To supervise the pupils in the dining hall, playground areas and school premises and on a one-to-one basis if required.

Duties will include cleaning up spillages, cleaning tables.

To maintain good order and discipline during the lunchtime period by following the school behaviour policy and procedures.

To oversee minor incidents and accidents.

The successful candidate should have some experience of children and will have the ability to listen, communicate effectively with adults and children and demonstrate patience and confidentiality.
