Job summary

Alexandra Junior School is seeking a dedicated Midday Supervisor to support safe and enjoyable lunchtimes in the dining hall and playground. You will supervise pupils, help with meals, and promote positive behaviour under the lunchtime team’s guidance.

Basic first aid training is part of the role, and the post requires an enhanced DBS check and the right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available. Training and development are encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils in dining hall and playground to keep lunchtimes safe and enjoyable.
• Oversee pupil conduct inside and outside the school building.
• Promote and enforce school rules on games, health and safety.
• Assist pupils in dining and play areas.
• Provide a variety of games and activities, demonstrating new ones.
• Handle minor incidents and disputes, referring serious ones to the Senior Lunchtime Coordinator or supervisor.
• Administer first aid as required and complete relevant training such as basic first aid.
• Clean up spillages and debris in dining and play areas.
• Follow child protection, health, safety, security and confidentiality policies and report concerns.
• Support diversity and equal opportunities for all.
• Contribute to the school's ethos and aims and support other professionals.
• Attend meetings and take part in training and performance development.
