Job summary

Shorefields School in Clacton-on-Sea is seeking a reliable Midday Assistant to help supervise pupils during lunch breaks and provide playground support. You will assist children, help maintain safety and good conduct, and support basic first aid where needed.

The role requires teamwork, patience and organisation, and will involve working both indoors and outdoors. The post is 5 hours per week during term time, 12:15 to 13:15, and offers a friendly, supportive environment within a busy school

We are looking to appoint a reliable, friendly and motivated Midday Assistant to join our happy and hard-working Midday team, to maintain the safety, welfare and good conduct of the pupils during their lunch break.

The role will be to assist the children during lunchtime and to provide playground support and supervision, including basic first aid where necessary. You will be working both inside and outside the school building and you will need to be able to work effectively as part of a team, enjoy working with children and demonstrate organisation, patience & understanding.

Our staff and children are friendly and welcoming and you would be joining a strong team of MDAs.

The position is for 5 hours per week (12.15 - 13.15), term time only.
