Job summary

Aviva plc is seeking a Mid-market Underwriter (Motor Trade) to collaborate with brokers and customers, delivering tailored Motor Trade solutions. You will manage a diary with regular broker meetings in a fast-paced environment, ensuring robust risk assessment and effective communication across teams.

The role requires Motor Trade underwriting experience, strong risk analysis, and the ability to navigate FCA regulations within a large, complex organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience in Motor Trade underwriting incl. road, property and liability risks.
• Able to analyse risks and present to brokers/customers clearly and effectively.
• Excellent communication and collaboration within a large organisation.
• Good understanding of FCA regulations and related legislation.

A bit about the job:

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with our brokers and customers to gain a deeper understanding of their needs, ensuring that we deliver comprehensive solutions tailored to the requirements of each customer / client. In turn, you'll showcase excellent organisation and time management skills, including managing your own diary successfully within a fast-paced environment (this will include regular face to face broker meetings).

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Previous Motor Trade underwriting experience (i.e. knowledge covering road, property and liability risks)
• Strong ability to analyse risks and communicate and present effectively to brokers and/or customers
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a large complex organisation
• Confident trading abilities with a broad panel of brokers and good knowledge of the FCA and other relevant regulation and legislation
• Strong commercial business acumen to create and deliver business cases
