Job summary

Hitachi Solutions Europe Limited is recruiting a Microsoft Biz Apps Senior Technical Consultant (Power Platform and Dynamics CE) to join a globally oriented consultancy. The role focuses on delivering Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform components, with hands-on work on AI features and modern ALM/DevOps practices across Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

The ideal candidate will bring senior expertise, hold or pursue PL-400, and be eligible for security clearance.

Qualifications

• Senior Developer with Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform experience.
• Hands-on with Azure Integration Services and Dataverse integration.
• Experience executing pipeline deployments in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Ability to design components within a broader architecture under guidance.
• Strong written and verbal communication for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own work packages within wider streams and deliver to set quality and timelines.
• Implement Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform components per designs.
• Implement AI features using Azure Copilot Studio per designs and specs.
• Run ALM/DevOps pipelines and troubleshoot as needed across Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Participate in peer reviews and mentor junior colleagues; formal sign-off by Lead/Architect.
• Provide input and estimates to Lead/Architect; align work with business goals.
• Maintain high attention to detail and coding standards to reduce debt.

Key Responsibilities

• Taking ownership of individual work packages within wider workstreams, delivering them to the quality standards and timelines set by the Technical Lead or Technical Architect.
• Implementing Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform components against designs produced by the Technical Architect or Technical Lead, with the capability to design smaller components within the broader architectural framework where required.
• Implementing AI and emerging technology features hands‑on, including components built on Microsoft Copilot Studio and autonomous agents, against designs and specifications set by the Lead or Architect.
• Executing Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) processes via Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, with sufficient working understanding to operate and troubleshoot pipelines, though not necessarily to design the underlying ALM strategy.
• Participating in peer code reviews and conducting initial review of work produced by junior colleagues, with formal sign‑off remaining with the Technical Lead or Architect.
• Providing situational support to junior developers and consultants such as pairing on tasks, unblocking issues, and answering technical questions within shared work packages.
• Providing technical input and task‑level estimates to the Lead or Architect when requested, with an awareness of how their work feeds the broader commercial picture.
• Maintaining rigorous attention to detail in their own deliverables to minimise technical debt and ensure adherence to coding standards.

Key Qualifications

• Solid hands‑on experience as a Senior Developer specialising in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform.
• Practical experience with Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Service Bus, Azure Functions) and their integration with Dataverse.
• Working knowledge of ALM and DevOps, capable of executing pipeline‑based deployments in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Demonstrable ability to design smaller components within a broader architecture defined by a Technical Lead or Architect.
• Clear written and verbal communication, capable of explaining implementation decisions to peers and project stakeholders.
• Holds, or is actively working towards, PL‑400 (Power Platform Developer Associate).
• All applicants must either hold active Security Clearance or be eligible to obtain Security Clearance.
• Hands‑on experience implementing generative AI features using Azure OpenAI Service and Microsoft Copilot Studio against an existing design.
• Proficiency in utilising AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to enhance personal velocity and code quality.
• Exposure to data migration tasks involving transformations from legacy SQL or Oracle systems to Dataverse.
