Job summary

Recruit4staff is seeking a Microbiology Associate to join a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer in Wrexham. The role covers routine microbiological testing and environmental monitoring under GMP and GLP guidelines. The successful candidate will contribute to product quality, maintain accurate records, and support process improvements.

Hours are 4 on 4 off, 8:00am to 7:00pm with flexible start/finish times. This temporary 6-month assignment offers a competitive hourly rate and a 24% shift

Qualifications

• Recent bio-science degree qualification, ideally in Microbiology.
• Previous laboratory experience within an academic or industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of GMP and GLP procedures.
• Accurate data recording and documentation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support the QC Microbiology team by carrying out routine microbiological testing.
• Conduct environmental monitoring activities in line with GMP/GLP and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure laboratory activities are accurate, efficient and documented.
• Manage own training and development and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Help maintain a safe, compliant, and inspection-ready laboratory environment.

Job Role:
