Join our Group Finance team as an MI Analyst (Financial Planning & Analysis) and play a pivotal role in delivering key financial insights that drive business performance. As part of our Financial Planning & Analysis team, you will support business partners and senior leaders with high‑quality analysis, reporting, and strategic recommendations.
About the role
- Support the planning and forecast cycles, working with stakeholders across the business to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and ensure timelines are communicated and adhered to.
- Prepare actuals reporting and review key financial data to interpret results and deliver insightful analysis at executive and board level.
- Present insight and analysis to senior stakeholders outside Finance and to users of cost data within Finance to inform business decisions.
- Work with the Finance Business Partners and Senior Cost Managers, providing a point of engagement into Group Finance for any queries arising from analysis.
- Maintain and improve financial models to improve accuracy and integrity of outputs and identify opportunities to streamline processes.
- Liaise with key Finance areas and wider business areas to understand the key drivers for the information and provide appropriate challenge.
- Take the lead in identifying areas for improvement and continuously improve key processes for controls, effectiveness, and efficiency.
- Perform control self‑assessments and retain control evidence, reporting deficiencies to the Finance Manager.
About you
- Professionally qualified (ICAS, ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex financial matters clearly.
- Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and presenting insights.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills, with a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
- Previous experience in FP&A or commercial finance.
- Knowledge of data processes and financial performance drivers, ideally within Financial Services and/or UK Life and Pensions.
- Experience with financial planning and reporting systems (e.g., Oracle).
- Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
