A leading mental health service provider in the UK is seeking a Shift Coordinator for the Mental Health Urgent Triage Team. The role involves providing clinical leadership, triaging 999 calls, and working closely with community services. Applicants should be Registered Mental Health Nurses with substantial NHS experience and strong skills in crisis management and team collaboration. Emergency services are receiving increasing volumes of calls for individuals presenting with acute mental health issues in the community. A significant proportion of emergency services resources is being used to support individuals struggling with their mental health, who often present with complex issues that require further assessment and ongoing support. The Mental Health Urgent Triage Team (MHUT) is a partnership between Pennine Care Foundation Trust, Greater Manchester MentalHealth (GMMH) North-West Ambulance Service (NWAS), and Greater Manchester Police (GMP). You will be based within the clinical hub in NWAS and will have training in the use of the EOC software systems.
