A regional healthcare provider in Basildon is seeking a qualified health care professional with formal CBT training to manage a clinical caseload and support children facing mental health challenges. The successful candidate will collaborate with schools and multidisciplinary teams, and must hold relevant registration. This role offers a focus on professional development and a supportive work environment.
NELFT is the largest provider of Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) in England. The MHSTs deliver evidence‑based individual and group interventions in educational settings for children experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties aged 5 to 18 years old, with a strong focus on whole school approaches to improve outcomes for children and young people. The South‑West Essex MHST covers a large geographical area including Basildon, Brentwood, Billericay and Thurrock.
We are a friendly, multidisciplinary team that values a healthy work‑life balance and encourages continual professional development. The successful candidate will receive an additional 5% Higher Cost of Living allowance on top of their wage.
Applicants must be fully registered/accredited with the appropriate professional or regulatory body (e.g. HCPC, NMC, BABCP).

The South‑West Essex MHST has its nominal base at Phoenix House in Basildon. As agile workers, the successful applicant will be required to travel to various NELFT offices and educational settings across the MHST.
Although NELFT is a registered sponsor, we are unable to offer sponsorship for all roles. Please check your eligibility under the UKVI points‑based system. When calculating the basic salary for sponsorship, HCAS (High‑Cost Area Supplement) is not included to ensure fairness and consistency within our Trust.
