Job summary

Crosby Composites Limited in Brackley is seeking a Metrology Inspector to perform dimensional inspection of components, using Romer Arm and PolyWorks, to ensure conformance with engineering drawings and tolerances, and to contribute to first-off and in-process inspections.

The role requires hands-on metrology experience in manufacturing, accurate reporting, and collaboration with Engineering and Production to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, tolerances and GD&T.
• Strong attention to measurement detail and data analysis.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly to Engineering and Production teams.
• Proven hands-on metrology experience in manufacturing or precision engineering.

Responsibilities

• Carry out dimensional inspection using Romer Arms for probing and 3D scanning.
• Use PolyWorks to perform inspection, measurement, scanning, alignment and analysis.
• Interpret drawings and tolerances to verify component conformity.
• Perform first-off, in-process and final inspections.
• Use precision metrology equipment and produce accurate inspection reports.
• Identify dimensional deviations and communicate findings to teams.
• Support investigations into dimensional and manufacturing issues and propose corrective actions.
