Job summary

Outfox Energy and Home Energy is seeking a detail-focused Metering Specialist to join our Metering Team in Leicester. The role covers accurate management of electricity and gas meter activity across smart and traditional meters, ensuring meter exchanges, smart metering issues, siteworks, flow management, and regulatory submissions are handled promptly and compliantly.

You will maintain records, support SLAs, and contribute to billing accuracy and customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Support Outfox Energy and Home Energy in all metering related activities.
• Managing metering-related tickets and customer queries within SLA.
• Supporting smart metering activities, including appointments, exceptions, communication issues, IHD support, alerts, and missing Half Hourly data.
• Managing siteworks cases, faulty meter issues, RTS meter exchanges, and related regulatory submissions.
• Investigating and resolving missing gas and electricity exchange flows.
• Maintaining accurate records and clear audit trails across all metering activity.
• Identifying recurring issues and supporting process improvements.

Contract: Full-time - 40 hours per week

We’re looking for a detail-focused Metering Specialist to join our Metering Team and support the accurate management of electricity and gas meter activity across smart and traditional meters.

In this role, you’ll help ensure meter exchanges, smart metering issues, siteworks, flow management, and regulatory requirements are handled accurately, efficiently, and within agreed timescales. You’ll play an important part in protecting billing accuracy, compliance, settlement integrity, and customer outcomes.
