Job summary

IMSERV is a UK-based data collection and energy metering expert seeking a field-based role for collecting meter readings at commercial sites. You will use a state-of-the-art handheld device to log readings, plan routes, and ensure accuracy to keep customer bills up to date.

No prior experience is required; you will be trained on our processes and devices. The role emphasizes self-motivation, outdoor work, and meeting tight schedules without evening or weekend shifts.

Job description

No previous experience required but you must be self-motivated and enjoy working outdoors. No evening or weekend work.

Full Tie - 37.5 hours per week

Overtime may be available too.

A bit about the role...

Do you have a passion for great customer service and spending time outdoors?

Dont want to be stuck in an office in a 9-5 role?

Perhaps you currently work weekends and or evenings and would like this time for yourself.

Come rain or shine, youll provide a critical role in ensuring our commercial customers (not residential customers) receive accurate and up to date bills by collecting data from their electric meters. Youll update meter reads accurately throughout the day on your state-of-the-art handheld device.

What does an average day look like?

On your first day youll meet your Manager who will guide you through an induction and ensure you have all the equipment you need to do a great job. Over your first 3 days youll work with an experienced mentor who will teach you everything you need to know.

Once you feel confident to go out alone, your work will be allocated to you via your hand-held device and youll plan your days based on the location the work is in. Once you arrive and youve read the meter, which can be wireless or manual, youll record the information accurately on your handheld device.

You will work independently and will have the motivation to work quickly and efficiently. You will be taking meter readings in businesses across your region (not residential properties).
