Job description

Experienced Metal Shop Operatives required for a leading protective equipment manufacturer based in Isleworth.

We are looking for skilled and experienced candidates to work within a busy metal fabrication workshop producing high-quality protective cases for military, broadcast, medical, and industrial sectors.

Straight starts available - ASAP.

Salary: £14.00 per hour.

Shift Timings:

• Mon‑Thurs: 07:30-17:00
• Fri: 07:30-12:30

Responsibilities

• Operating machinery such as CNC machines, Extrusion Bender, and Insertion Machine (training provided)
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings & engineering specifications
• Performing metal cutting, drilling, shaping, and other fabrication tasks
• Assembling metal components using Rivet Guns, Hand Drills, Pillar Drills, etc.
• Conducting quality checks to ensure finished products meet specifications
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
• Reporting faults, damages, or maintenance needs
• Handling materials safely and following production instructions

Candidate Requirements

Essential

• Previous experience in a metal workshop or similar environment
• Basic understanding of metalworking tools and machines
• Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Good communication skills and a strong team ethic
• Awareness of health & safety procedures in workshops
