Metal Security & Control Analyst

Location: Brimsdown, Enfield - UK

As a Metal Risk Controller, you’ll contribute to JM’s mission as a world leader in sustainable technology, transforming energy and reducing carbon emissions for a cleaner, brighter future.

The role

As a Metal Risk Controller, you will help drive our goals by:

  • Perform and witness key weighments at high-risk points; review data for trends, issues, and losses; carry out random checks and monthly stock audits.
  • Create and analyse monthly stock/loss reports; develop new control points; maintain early-warning systems for metal loss and yield performance.
  • Lead semi-automated witness-weighing setup; liaise with Security and CCTV teams; trial and improve weighment and monitoring points in high-risk areas.
  • Conduct audits, apply SPC for process control, implement secure systems, collaborate across teams, report findings, and train staff on best practices.
Key skills that will help you succeed in this role
  • Degree in a technical or science-based field; experience with structured problem-solving tools such as RCA and 5 Whys.
  • Strong numeracy with data analysis, SPC, and statistical understanding; proficient in Microsoft Office; highly self-motivated with strong time management; interest in data mining and process/system development.
  • Quick learner of complex operations; delivers innovative, practical solutions; communicates clearly using data to support decisions.
  • Builds strong cross-functional relationships; understands business and customer needs; simplifies complex issues for both technical and operational audiences.
