A leading NHS Trust in Birmingham is seeking a Metabolic Bone Specialist Nurse to join their multidisciplinary team. The role involves supporting children and their families affected by Metabolic Bone Disease, as well as coordinating care with other healthcare professionals. Candidates must have NMC registration in children's nursing and a demonstrated ability to mentor and support others. A commitment to continuing professional development is essential. This full-time position includes flexible working hours to meet service needs.

The post holder will have specialist nursing responsibility for children/young people with Metabolic Bone Disease and their families, incorporating a care co-ordination remit as agreed within the multi‑disciplinary team.
The post holder will be part of the Metabolic Bone Disease multidisciplinary team (MDT), working alongside medics and allied healthcare professionals as part of the wider Endocrinology MDT. They will act as a resource and support for children/young people, and their parents, with Metabolic Bone Disease, and also primary healthcare teams, shared care centres and other multidisciplinary teams at BCH.
