Job description
ABOUT TRIP

TRIP’s mission is to create calm in the everyday chaos for our community, offering next-generation wellness products to power their lifestyle and nurture mental wellbeing.

Co‑founders, husband and wife team Olivia and Daniel discovered plant‑based wellness after a transformative personal experience and decided to launch TRIP in 2019 to bring the most delicious, highest quality functional drinks and supplements to millions of people globally.

Now the world’s #1 Calming Beverage Brand, TRIP’s award‑winning drinks and wellness products are crafted with botanicals and adaptogens to help people relax, unwind and find balance. Since launch, TRIP has rapidly expanded from the UK to across Europe and North America, generating over $100 million in sales. TRIP products are now available in leading supermarkets, natural retailers and online.

Our vision is to become the global leader in calming drinks and supplements. Synonymous with calm in the same way Red Bull is with energy. We move fast, think big and are committed to becoming the defining brand for a generation who drinks less but prioritises mental wellbeing more than ever. There has never been a better time to join our incredible team and be part of the movement!

THE ROLE

We’re looking for a performance‑driven Creative Strategist to build, test, and scale high‑converting paid social creative for TRIP’s U.S. Digital business. Meta (Facebook & Instagram) will be your core battleground, with a deep understanding of U.S. consumer behavior, cultural cues, and wellness category dynamics as your differentiator.

Your role sits at the intersection of psychology + storytelling + rigorous performance data. You’ll translate signal into strategy: diagnosing U.S. performance patterns, forming hypotheses, shaping briefs, and engineering creative systems that scale efficiently across audiences, regions, and product lines.

This is pure performance creative—not organic content. Fast iteration, structured testing, and measurable revenue impact are central to success.

You’ll partner closely with our U.S. Growth and Performance teams to ensure creative direction matches audience intent, platform shifts, commercial goals, and the realities of the U.S. competitive landscape—using smart tooling (including AI) to move faster and make sharper decisions.

This role can be based either in our London HQ, or in the USA with our remote workforce.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Own Meta US creative strategy end‑to‑end: insights → hypotheses → briefs → edits → testing → scaling.
  • Turn U.S. data into action: interpret performance signals (e.g., thumb‑stop rate, hook hold curve, CPC breakouts, CPA by concept, MER contribution, regional skew) and turn them into next‑step recommendations.
  • Engineer scalable creative frameworks: develop winning repeatable structures (hooks, angles, formats, end‑cards) that can be cloned across U.S. regions, personas, and product variants—and continue performing past week one.
  • Brief + QA performance creative: write precise briefs for editors/designers, define U.S.-specific angles, shot lists, VO direction, overlays, and UGC beats, ensuring every asset ships on‑brand, compliant, and ready for testing.
  • Run structured U.S. testing: create and prioritize test matrices across hooks × formats × angles; establish success benchmarks tailored to U.S. account realities; roll learnings into the next sprint.
  • Use AI intelligently: support faster iteration, scripting, cut‑downs, and insight generation while applying strong editorial judgment to retain human nuance.
  • Spot U.S. platform + cultural shifts: monitor Meta trends, competitor creative in the U.S. wellness space, and evolving consumer psychology to keep TRIP ahead of cultural and algorithmic curves.
  • Expand winning creative across platforms: apply the Meta‑first creative strategy to other U.S. performance channels, including Amazon Ads, Retail Media Networks, TikTok performance, and emerging retail.com partners.
  • Communicate clearly: deliver sharp, insight‑led creative reports for U.S. growth leadership, founders, and cross‑functional partners.
ABOUT YOU
  • 3+ years in performance‑focused paid social creative strategy for U.S. DTC brands or agencies, with proven Meta expertise.
  • Demonstrated success scaling concepts across Meta formats: UGC, testimonials, founder POV, problem/solution, demos, comparisons, statics, motion, carousels, and hybrid formats.
  • Fluent in performance metrics: CTR, CVR, CPA/ROAS/MER, scroll‑stop, hook/hold curves, and how creative inputs drive them in a U.S. context.
  • Strong briefing + feedback skills: able to direct editors/designers with clarity and speed.
  • Comfortable using AI tools for ideation, scripting, editing, and performance analysis—balanced with strong human judgment.
  • Organised, proactive, fast‑moving: able to manage multiple U.S. creative workstreams at pace and collaborate cross‑functionally with Growth, Brand, and US Ops.
  • Strong knowledge of the US market: either you’ve worked on the US market or lived there before, a strong understanding of the US marketplace is essential.
