MET Technician - Backshift

Peterborough Prep Centre

• Work shift Pattern is 15:00pm – 01:00am (Monday – Thursday) and 15:00pm – 20:00pm (Friday)
• Contracted Hours: 42.5 hours per week
• Salary Base: £35,344 per annum, includes night shift allowance (based on experience)
• Gaining experience from colleagues in a professional environment

We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable individuals with a self-motivating attitude, with an eye for detail and able to work as part of a team within a busy, fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Stripping / refitting of bodywork panels in readiness for the bodyshop
• Stripping / refitting of new parts.
• The ability to work on your own initiative as well as in a team.
• Ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest quality standards
• Ensuring work areas and tools are kept tidy and in good working order
• Maintain high standards of house-keeping

What we are looking for!

• As a MET Technician, you will ensure the repair of motor vehicles of all types is carried out to the highest standard.
• Ideal candidate should have industry qualifications or have minimum of 2 years’ experience in the role
• Good communicative skills and ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions
• Good time management, planning skills and problem solving skills
• Prior experience of working to efficiency targets
