About the Role

We are recruiting for a skilled MET Technician to join our client's accident repair centre in Bedford. The role will involve carrying out the removal, fitting, and replacement of mechanical, electrical, and trim components as part of the vehicle accident repair process. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring vehicles are repaired to the highest standard, working closely with panel beaters, paint technicians, and estimators to deliver a seamless repair process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Remove and refit mechanical, electrical, and trim components in accident-damaged vehicles
  • Diagnose and assess component damage accurately
  • Carry out repairs and replacements to manufacturer and safety standards
  • Work closely with colleagues in the accident repair team to ensure efficient workflow
  • Maintain high-quality standards in all work undertaken
Requirements
  • Proven experience as an MET Technician within an accident repair centre or bodyshop
  • Ability to work with mechanical, electrical, and trim components confidently
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Relevant qualifications (ATA, NVQ, or equivalent) desirable but not essential
  • Full UK Driving Licence preferred
