Job summary

FMG RS in Milton Keynes is seeking a highly skilled MET Technician to join a busy accident repair centre. You will carry out complete MET repairs, including vehicle stripping, refitting, and mechanical and electrical work, with a focus on quality and safety.

This role offers an excellent bonus scheme, uncapped monthly bonuses when productive, a full UK driving licence is essential, and a generous benefits package including life assurance, vehicle-leasing schemes, pension and wellbeing services.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years MET Technician experience.
• ATA/IMI accreditation (or equivalent).
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Experience diagnosing/repairing EV and Hybrid vehicles.
• Able to work 45 hours per week with flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Carry out complete MET repairs, including vehicle stripping, refitting, and mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Diagnose and repair EV and Hybrid vehicles.
• Carry out or support wheel alignment/geometry work as required.
• Restore vehicles to manufacturer and industry standards, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
• Work as part of an experienced team of 13 Technicians, including 5 MET Technicians (with a sixth joining).

MET Technician - Milton Keynes
Salary: upto £24 an hour (£56,314 a year) basic (depending on experience)
Bonus:Excellent bonus scheme based on efficiency
Hours: 45 hours per week with flexible split shifts.

• Work within a high-volume bodyshop with a strong and consistent workflow.
• Carry out complete MET repairs, including vehicle stripping, refitting, and mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Diagnose and repair EV and Hybrid vehicles.
• Carry out or support wheel alignment/geometry work as required.
• Restore vehicles to manufacturer and industry standards, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
• Work as part of an experienced team of 13 Technicians, including 5 MET Technicians (with a sixth joining the team).
• Benefit from a spacious site with excellent facilities, including a large staff car park.
• Excellent bonus potential in a productive, high-performing workshop.
• Essential: ATA/IMI accreditation (or equivalent) and a minimum of 3 years' experience as an MET Technician.
• Essential: Full UK driving licence.
• Looking for a highly skilled, all-round ("full all-singing, all-dancing") MET Technician who is confident across all aspects of the role.
